Hanna's Yoga Class Review
by Dr. Hanna Chusid, Ed.D
Diana Lang works effectively with ALL fitness
levels, yoga experience levels, injury issues,
ages, body shapes
and sizes, other limitations (doing yoga within what you can do)
the
oldest person in our current class is in her 80s, the youngest
in early 20s. And there is
a
wonderful mix of men and women.
Many students have been with her for 10-20
years, and longer. I
have worked with her off
and on for 15 years. . .she was a huge influence
in my starting to teach yoga. Diana works
privately with professional
athletes, dancers, celebs, and us regular folks too.
The classes vary each and every week (no repetitious routines) addressing
an alignment or
awareness issue, so the principles involved are learned
in a way that they are accessed in
daily life.
The class mood is very focused; no mood of
competition or fashion show off or anything.
People are very
friendly and humour is always a part of the class.
Diana uses demo, explanations, hands on help, humour, no need to
know Sanskrit words, she
does not just bark out a series of poses;
rather, she either names them in English or guides you
through them
step-by-step.
Classes are very comfortably paced.
Diana is a shining, radiant inspirational example of health beauty
and love.
We meet in a local (Woodland Hills) community church hall, very
low key homey environment.
These classes are always done as a series,
paid in advance, she often has wait lists to get in.
The class ends, after deep rest, with an optional piece of chocolate.
